![]() I wanted to immediately jump on here and give you a review, but as i thought about it, I knew i needed to give it a proper test through some hot days. And, I found a great side benefit: my clothes weren’t covered in deodorant anymore. It took some experimenting, but I finally had an odor free day. So, I adjusted my application method and tried different amounts. ![]() There was also a note about making sure to apply Lume up to an inch beyond the hair growth areas to ensure full odor control. In it, they explained that it can take some time to get rid of all the residue from aluminum deodorants, and, that once it was gone, you have to experiment with how much Lume you actually need to apply. But about a week after I started using it, I got an email from Lume. I still smelled, just like I had with the previous deodorants. For reference, I bought the Lavender Sage Stick deodorant. The ad mentioned a few things I disliked about drugstore and natural deodorants. However, after seeing the ad a good 8-9 times, I became curious, mostly because of how silly it looked. ![]() Originally, I didn’t bother to watch the video, assuming it would be more of the same. In January this year, I started seeing Lume ads on Instagram, namely this ad (watch from 0:14 – 0:56) nearly every day. They may be annoying, but at least they did their job. So I went back to the drugstore deodorants. I tried three different ones, which, while much easier to wash off, offered little to no odor protection. To be honest, I didn’t really believe all of the claims, but I was curious about the natural deodorants. That was roughly when I started hearing about how bad regular deodorants are. ![]() Some years ago, I started seeing ads for “natural” deodorants. I could scrub until my pits were red and sore and still feel residue. I was also very annoyed by how difficult those traditional deodorants were to remove. Not really bad, like not likely to offend anyone, but I could smell it, and it bothered me. If I would sweat even a little, I would smell. In the past, I have tended towards smelly. I switched between them regularly trying to find one that would completely eliminate body odor. Growing up, drugstore deodorants were all I had available to me. I acknowledge this is a long post, so, if you don’t care about backstory and just want to jump down to the overview, feel free to do so. I felt it necessary to provide that information to adequately discuss the changes with and benefits of, Lume. But not a coconut scent I loved.Fair warning, there is, within this review, what some people would consider TMI relating to sweatiness and BO. Coconut Crush was not what I expected at all. I don’t think the scents matter, but if you really must know I thought Jasmine Rose and Warm Vanilla were the most pleasant. If you are curious at all about this product, I say go for it. So it will be a couple more months before I purchase again, but I am interested in trying out their body wash and the laundry spray treatment for all my sports bras that hold onto odors even after stripping them and washing with oxyclean and Rockin clean. Each of these tubes are 0.75 oz and I’m on my 2nd tube after buying these at the beginning of June. I do plan to buy a full-sized tube once this sampler runs out. But not everyone has a need to shower daily so this is an option for people that want less stress about the odor in between baths. I have to shower every day because of my hair and I will break out like crazy if I don’t. I will never test its ability to last 72 hours, I just can’t with that. Got sweaty crotch from the gym? This will help too. (P.S they do explain that it works best on its own – don’t double up with your other deodorants or antiperspirants or it won’t work as well)ĭo you want to use it on pits? You can. Not every day, so maybe it mixed with something, or I forgot I had deodorant already on and put more? I can’t really remember - but what I can say is that this stuff WORKS on the body. I thought I noticed some balling up of the product on my pits while working out. I prefer this cream more for the body than the armpits. And without so many words, I have tried to hint to friends how well this works. I’d say this is pretty much magical status. I am still a sweaty mess leaving the gym with pants that look like I peed in them, but I don’t smell like I did before. Let me tell you, there is a NIGHT and DAY difference in terms of odor. ****zero trace residue left behind on the skin.**** Did it work?
